Early-Late Fast-Slow Dry-Wet

butterfly-champagne

Early came the New Year
What happened to my date
Drank too much champagne
Got in way too late

Fast went the evening
Feeling pains of woe
My head is a swimming
I’m moving oh so slow

Dry is my mouth
My body in a sweat
Reaching for a glass
In need of something wet

(ruleofstupid posted a poetry challenge – writing with opposites.

I am just going to make up my own rules about how to do it.   If you look carefully,  you can see a butterfly in the glass.)

  1. Three opposites in one – you don’t get a discount you know! ;)

    • This is fun for me. Something to do. My little style won’t be hard to recognize:

      Ta da ta da
      ta dadadada ta da

I was thinking of one in the middle of the night last night. Should have gotten up and written it down as this morning – poof! And it was such a good one. :(

  2. Liked it a whole lot! Very cute, simple to the point! Very good😄

A "Hi" is OK!
