Fan Dance
I have a dancing partner
I think he is so grand
We don’t dance often
For he’s in a far off land
His blog is a gift
I keep it close at hand
And now just for him
I will dance with my fan
I have had these three fans for over 25 years I am sure. A relative gave them to me on her return from a visit to China. I thought they were for hot dishes.
I follow Sydney at addgrainonearth. He always posts so many interesting and fascinating things about his country.
Yesterday I read his blog and there were similar fans to the ones that I have. I learned they really are used for fanning and so much more. Every household has one to refresh each individual soul.
I didn’t know if I still had the fans. I rummaged through a few drawers and there they were. The first picture shows my fans in front of his blog page. The second is in front of my baritone ukulele. I will play it when I do the fan dance. 
Sydney displays his fans in his home to remind him of his mother and earlier days. I will now display mine to remind me of a wonderful blogging friend.

I can only waltz, foxtrot, dirty dance, chicken dance, Nutbush, and a basic Latin…

When I saw those fans I knew that I had some. My sister had given them to me a long time ago but I didn’t realize their significance. And they have even more meaning now.
