A Little News
I looked at the paper
Read a little news
Nothing really special
Just a quick peruse
My eye caught an item
New bride you did choose
Perhaps I should tell her
How you run around
Chasing other women
In every part of town
And worst of all
Never put the seat down
A blogger I am following records his poems. I enjoy hearing the author read his own work. It seems to give more meaning. I have recorded some of mine but am not able to rid the recording of static, but I did my best. :)

Hi
Or rather Hi Again!
You were just commenting to me at:

I am one and the same.
Ah! So you got these two beautiful blogs.
Well, I am impressed. Glad I met you.
Two blogs means twice the followers and twice the comments. lol
And about 10 times the work. But it is fun.
Hmm…Lady sighs!!
Keep doing the good work. I’m sure your followers are on a beautiful joyride. Count me in, boarding with a pocket full of quarters
sweet poem and enjoyed your voice..
Thank you.
AnElephantCant deny it
Ladysighs does sound awfully sweet
Everything oh so fine
‘Til the very last line
When she mentions that accursed seat
Sit up straight! Everything prim and proper here.
Glad I found your new blog and its as good as the old one!
Glad I found you……..in the Spam Folder again.
Another blog = Twice the work
Another blog = Twice the likes and comments. lol
How lovely to hear your voice!
Lovely the poem too, and the picture too!
Doesn’t anyone notice how the static just goes perfect with the picture’s sepia timelessness?😃
Hope your allergy’s gone!
Rom
I notice you took the weekend off.
Never thought to use the sepia excuse. But that excuse won’t work for the next couple of selections I have planned. Doesn’t matter to me. Just another fun thing to do …. before I get back to the opposite poetry.
Now THAT’S a Texas Drawl!
A Texas Drawl……..with a Kansas Twang!
So, that would make Toto a sort of Chow Chow, right?
Right!
I have started down the yellow brick road and will be happy to have you come along.
You can be the the brainless one.
Deal, that sounds about right
How lovely to hear your speaking voice on here. Love the singing on your other one and this is another pleasure. Thank you
Hearing myself speak was rather a shock. lol
I don’t like the way the recording works……but some things don’t always matter. It will be fun to read some here. Why don’t you try it? I am sure you have a voice as beautiful as your ‘things’..
Hi Sighs – I don’t know how you record now, but there’s a free program called Audacity. It takes a bit of learning, but has lots of filters to help clean up recordings. A reasonable mic or headset is only £10/15. And you can check the control panel in windows and see if you have “mic boost” on – it will create lots of static and is best ‘Off’ if you can.
You may not want all the bother – but you may find recording opens up lots of new fun too!
Hope that helps
Yes, I am using Audacity. I use it both on Linux and Windows. I think it is probably just my microphone….getting old and worn out. Or just me getting old and worn out. Years ago I used the little recorder on Windows XP and didn’t have too much static. But then MS changed the recorder.
I don’t do much in Windows any more as I love Linux. Just keep the dual boot for a couple of things. Seems my recordings are better in Vista though. I will try to find the mic boost. I hate to muck around in there. Get lost. lol
I keep playing with the Audacity controls but just make a bigger mess. lol
I do more records on my other blog. I think I follow you there…not sure. Thanks!

Love it!
I love the picture!
Oh no, sin of all sins, exposing the nakedness of the toilet!! I love your recording, and the way you read it was very professional! A lot of poets doing this now, blogging is becoming very interesting these days!
Suzy
Thank you…glad you enjoyed. I would classify it more as silly than professional. I had written the verse and went looking for a picture. When I saw her …I loved her and knew how the verse should sound.
