Winter Day
black and white splotches
dripping from branch in mall trees
crumbs released from crows

lips cracked dry bleeding
tears frozen on blushing cheeks
stinging swirling wind
Haiku attempt

I enjoyed them both. Clever inspirational pictures to accompany the haikus.
I see so many bloggers inspired by pictures. It really is amazing the many different ideas that come from the same picture.
It is amazing… I follow a “weekly photo challenge” blog where the followers write a story, poetry, song, etc inspired by the photo. So many variations are submitted…
Love the second one , great attempts….I wouldn’t even know how to do a Haiku, well done!
I don’t really feel comfortable with the Haiku. Always seems like I am just making something up………which is true.
Or perhaps forcing myself.
At least I have overcome the fear of putting something out here for others to see.
LOVED the last one. that is totally me in the winter.. OUCH. great image
Thank you very much. Just learning how to unfold myself with the poetry stuff.
Hit and miss……..mostly miss. But lots of fun and we learn from each other.
This was so beautiful:) enjoyed the second one a lot..lovely..
Thank you so much. I take it as a real compliment. Trying to spread my wings a bit.
winter days are just a dream for me. I try to imagine how cold minus temperatures could be and I shudder because I start to feel so called at +15.
The black and white photo with the birds is just awesome.
I really liked that bird picture. It is exactly what I see in the parking lot of a grocery store we visit. We try not to park under that tree. lol
I am not good at converting +15 into F, but it is probably quite warm. I am lucky because it can be cold for a few days and then like a spring day for the next few.
that would be about 59F which by your standards is quite warm.
I think one can just stand under the tree looking at the birds. feels like a silhouette.
“Black and white splotches dripping from branches”… beautiful Lady S.
Dang! So many talents in a flighty dame!
Flighty! Yes, the butterfly is a good gravatar for me.
Well, that’s about exactly how I feel about winter! But won’t you believe, from -8C a couple of days ago, we’ve got +10 C today!
The trees still look like in your picture, including ****** crows, but the sun is shining, I’m cooking my personal version of a chicken korma (turmeric and coconut milk) and have some time off with family in the park pm:-)
Wishing you a great day!
