Sunny Day

The gardener’s taken ill
The flowers in disarray
The spade’s a trifle heavy
But it is a sunny day
The butler’s leg is broken
No one to serve a tray
The door’s going unanswered
But it is a sunny day
The milkmaid has eloped
After a romp in the hay
The pitcher is unfilled
Clouds are getting in the way
The master’s late for dinner
He’s gone far astray
Thunder rumbles overhead
Day is looking rather gray
Poetry is lovely and the photo is absolutely stunning
I love that sunny picture. So many different things could be written about it.
I feel the same too. Where did you get the picture..
Years ago when I first got a computer in 2000, my Windows 98 came with some clip art disks and programs. It had tons of pictures etc with Micro Soft programs. I still have the disks and just looked through the disk and found some graphics I liked.
Please feel free to use it if you like.
Thank you, Lady:)
I like your poem!
I have to admit that sunny days bother me a bit, but I can’t deny the beauty of a sunny day. ^_^
I looked at the picture and had grand thoughts of beauty etc etc. The lovely colors and flowers.
Then I saw the spade and thought of getting down on my hands and knees in the dirt. I don’t do that!! lol And the day just went downhill from there.
Hmm, I guess I know what you. :/
I like the progression in your poem. Not a happy one, but then so much of the time that’s how it goes in life, right?
Loved the watercolor too.
I don’t know……look at it in a positive sunlight:
The spoiled little b – - – - will probably have to do a little work around the place for once. Like it would really hurt her to get her hand in the soil, make her own tea and milk the cows.
Who knows while she is in the barn she might meet somebody up in the hay loft besides that rat of a wandering husband. lol
I see the sun peaking back out of the clouds.
A + for Attitude!
Love this one! It is gray here today so you have given me a splash of sunshine to start the day!
Nice to see a familiar gravatar.
Who is left to help with everyone either gone or late?
Some days start out so nice and then go downhill awfully fast.
It is bright and sunny here today..
love to see the sun..love your poem
That poor gal in the poem. I hope her day is sunnier today. Some days just go that way. lol
Care free are the days of sun. I’m feeling the gray in my bones. Thank you for a bright reminder.
My bones are so old and gray they no longer have feeling. lol
Thanks for visiting my blog and the comment.

I like it!
Thank you Geraldine.
I hope your day is sunny too.
