Oh yes! I too loved reading but find that writing and visiting blogs takes up a lot of time – and knitting and singing and piano practice – all the things that, like you, I didn’t have time for when I was working.
I still read but each book takes me longer than it used to.

I liked the quote. So true.
Sometimes I try to write a comment and I delete it thinking ….oh what a silly thing to say.
But then I change my mind and say it anyway. lol
lovely inspiration based on the quote. there are some ppl it won’t grace even if they stop running behind it..
This quote gave me a lot of different thoughts. And you brought out one more.
One of my other thoughts was…..you may not achieve something on the first chase or chance, but keep it in mind. The opportunity may again land nearby when you least expect. Don’t give up.

They say some people go through life without ever finding time to live! Same with pursuing happiness forgetting it should be the journey not the destination

You plan and plan for something. Work hard to get it. And when you get it, you don’t know what to do with it.
The joy is always in the going about doing it. And doesn’t matter what “it” is.
Well, I hope the “it” is something good of course.
Most times the things we pursue are good from our perspective or we wouldn’t pursue them.
I hear they say no one does something unless to gain pleasure.
Or to escape pain.
