Family Tree

familytree-2

In the attic with dust so gray
Sat a trunk with an old book
Nothing else to do that day
Thought that I would have a look

Amongst its musty pages lay
A picture of our family tree
Nothing else to do that day
Wondered who or what I’d see

Relatives standing in fine array
Generations grew and grew
Nothing else to do that day
Kept looking through and through

Turned the pages without delay
Many furry creatures found
Nothing else to do that day
Eyes to that book were bound

Then there were to my dismay
Creepy crawlers from the sea
Nothing else to do that day
But recognize they were a part of me

If you look in the top branch you will see me with my ukulele!

I loved the poem relating to your history. It is one so many people can relate to. A pleasure to read!

  3. I love looking at family trees! There are always surprises….

“It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change.”

    Charles Darwin

  4. At first I was hoping there would be a dog in the album, then I thought everyone should think of animals as a part of their families, and after that I felt ashamed for finding crawlies … well, creepy. :)

The ukulele gives you the look of a true kahuna!

    • I dared not look further than the crawlies.

I am ashamed to admit I have some creepies with 2 legs in my family. I guess we all do. :(

The ukulele goes with me in another blog I have. lol It was funny that I found a picture with it in.

Thanks for the visit to this blog. :)
