Up-Down

HPIM1357.JPG

HPIM1016.JPG

Up to the top of the hill
I go before each sunrise
Up to the top of the hill
I walk for exercise
At the top of the hill
When I’ve had my fill
And standing on firm ground
I look around then turn around
And the hill I walk back down

opposite poetry

It is a bit chilly to walk too early in the winter, but soon I will being seeing the sun rise over the hills.  Each time seems more lovely than the day before.

  1. when exercise becomes a pleasure (with admiring the beauty of nature), what more do you want? beautiful.

    • I have a long list of other things I want. lol

But a peaceful safe walk early in the morning is often a luxury for many. I am fortunate to step out from front door and enjoy a walk.

  2. Do you have lots of hills where you live? I live in a city, and was told before I moved to live there that the area was very flat. Comments like that are often said by people who have no idea what they are talking about, because they drove through the area once in a car, and it looked flat to them! :) It is true of the county overall, but the actual inner city is very up and down in some areas, can get quite out of breath walking up some roads!

I missed this post! A lot of posts not appearing in the reader, gets quite frustrating failures like that! I’m having to check myself to make sure I’ve not missed anything, and often I have! Also not been getting notification to replies. I noticed someone else moaning about it yesterday, very annoying if there is a question to you in the reply – how would you know!? So if I miss a post or something in one of your replies, you’ll know why! :D

    • About missing posts…….me too. Plus a funny thing. I posted this I think on the 4th of March…….but it showed up as being posted on the first. Really strange.

Yes, I live in a bit of a hilly place. I walk up a big hill about everyday. I have walked up the hill almost everyday for the past 15 years. Maybe 30 days out of the year to be missed due to bad weather or laziness. Not a lot my age can do it. When I started I had to stop and rest half way up and it took me about 10 minutes. Now it takes about 4 minutes. I don’t do a lot of physical activities so feel good about doing this.
