Phone Call-Part 2

phonecall

They’d lived next door forever
Then war brought them fears
Let’s wait until it’s over
It can’t be many more years
She’d heard the weeping and wailing
From widows so many tears
Sadness grief and sorrow
Many lost had been her peers
On the phone now with his mother
Ever encouraging giving her cheer
Always could count on her love
She was oh such a dear
Now as she listens intently
Wonderful joy comes to her ears
The phone falls from her fingers
As he opens the door and appears

This is the second time I have written about the picture of the phone.  I wonder if there is a third story.

  1. with you on the dials, there will be a part 3 and 4!
    it’s kinda sad though

  2. I am enjoying this series – I am certain there is a third story…

  3. I vote no part 3. But you really do need to update to a cellphone. :)
